Whilst the majority of boards are glazed, lockable and weatherproof, we also offer unglazed boards (and boards combining glazed and unglazed areas) to meet the needs of those wishing to provide space for the public to post notices without the need to contact a key holder. Unglazed bays are also frequently used to contain sign panels with permanent information (e.g. church service times and contact information), maps or interpretation panels.

Oak Noticeboards

These boards offer a unique blend of traditional appearance and intelligent design, combining over 25 years of manufacturing experience with the best of both traditional and modern materials. Solid oak frames are used with back panels fabricated from Tricoya®, a man-made acetylated wood panel material with durability and stability far exceeding that of plywood, to create a product of truly traditional appearance but with performance levels far exceeding the norm.

With a proven track record now in excess of 20 years and offering a genuine, low-maintenance alternative to traditional timber notice boards, the extensive Greenbarnes range of Man-made Timber noticeboards combines the benefits of modern materials with tried and tested detailing. Manufactured largely from recycled plastics, these boards have a convincing timber appearance but require none of the regular maintenance that is required by timber equivalents.

There is undoubtedly more choice of exterior noticeboards manufactured in aluminium than in any other material, including, it must be said, some very cheap but not so cheerful examples! We offer no less than four ranges of aluminium boards ourselves, ranging from the economical AF30 through the AF58 and A-Multi ranges, to the high-specification A-Max. With our boards price is not so much a reflection of quality (that’s a given), but more a reflection of the level of customisation available.

Our range of Heavy-Duty, unglazed, noticeboards fills an important niche frequently ignored by other manufacturers. Constructed from recycled plastic material which is maintenance-free, vandal-resistant and designed to stubbornly resist whatever life throws it, Heavy-Duty boards come not only with a 5 year guarantee, but also the certainty of much reduced “whole-life” costs when compared to equivalent timber boards.

In addition to a full range of aluminium cases, available in both silver anodised finish and a range of powder-coated colours, Greenbarnes also offers superbly detailed solid oak Small Board cases and, uniquely, poster cases manufactured in Man-made Timber, a maintenance-free recycled plastic material which will not rot, warp, shrink or fade. As with our external noticeboards, tried and tested designs and attention to detailing, are the reasons why poster cases are the natural choice for councils, schools, churches, charities and indeed, anyone with the need to display posters.
