Delivery

Our preferred method of delivery will vary depending upon a number of factors including the weights of individual items in the consignment and the delivery address.

The majority of orders are now delivered by couriers using a specialist 2-man delivery team, as experience has shown this to be the safest and most reliable method. Although slightly more expensive than conventional alternatives, this guarantees that our boards, which can be heavy and difficult to handle, are treated with the necessary care at each step of their journey thus minimising the chances of loss or damage.

As soon as your order is completed, we will contact you to let you know that it is being collected by our courier and, shortly thereafter, they will contact you directly to make final arrangements for the delivery. This also has the advantage that you can normally fine-tune delivery details and thus avoid waiting in for prolonged periods.

All consignments will need to be checked and signed for upon receipt. In the unlikely event any item being damaged or missing, this should be recorded on the delivery note when signing for the goods and reported to us, preferably immediately and at the very latest, within 24 hours of delivery. We regret that we are unable to entertain any claims for damage or shortages that are notified to us outside this timescale.

Different arrangements may apply for small parcels, local deliveries or deliveries to remote areas and offshore islands, as follows:

  • Where possible, small parcels (spare parts etc) are dispatched via Parcelforce 48 hr service.
  • If the size of an individual order or the mileage involved warrant it, we may opt to use our dedicated, local courier.
  • Deliveries falling outside the range of our usual 2-man service, i.e. to remote areas of the UK mainland and offshore islands, may require special arrangements. If you receive the message “Please contact us to discuss delivery methods/costs” when prompted to enter your postcode during the online buying process, please give us a call. This message doesn’t mean that we can’t deliver to your chosen address, just that we can’t automate the process of costing the delivery.

In all cases we endeavour to get the goods to you in the safest, most cost-effective and convenient way possible.

What is the difference between Contemporary and Decorative boards?

It’s the posts!

Contemporary boards have plain, 76mm diameter posts whilst Decorative boards have posts with base embellishers, collars and finials.

What unglazed options are available?

A-Multi boards have 3 available options for unglazed boards.

Sign panels offer a powder-coated surface to take text (which is applied in computer-cut vinyl), logos etc. This option is ideal for churches, schools etc. which need to display relatively permanent information such as service times and contact numbers alongside frequently changed notices.

Self-healing pinboard allows the possibility to create an unglazed area for public notices alongside the glazed (restricted access) area, ideal for organisations such as parish councils, residents associations etc.

GRP encapsulations offer a tough, vandal-resistant method of displaying information in which a digital print is produced from artwork and then, as the name implies, is encapsulated in a layer of fibreglass resin to protect it from both the weather and the unwanted attention of vandals.

What is the expected lifespan of an aluminium noticeboard?

All our aluminium noticeboards are designed to give many years of troublefree service whilst requiring minimal care. Like any other product however, a little preventative maintenance such as regular lubrication of hinges and locks can help prolong the board’s useful life.

Which display panel option should I choose?

For details of each option and its benefits simply choose that option from the dropdown and hover over the ? symbol that appears next to its price.

What is Plexichoc glazing?

Plexichoc ® is a transparent, UV-blocking glazing material with good shock resistance and meets ISO 179-1

Which way do the doors hinge?

All doors are easily reversible so can be hinged to left or right to suit site conditions.

  • Single-bay boards are supplied hinged on the left, locking on the right by default
  • 2-bay boards (AF30 only) – are hinged on the outer edges and lock at the centre by default

What is the lifespan of digital print?

Digital print has a minimum expected lifespan of 5 years. This doesn’t mean that it will be life-expired after 5 years but that we would not expect to see any noticeable deterioration in colour within a five year period. When used in a g.r.p. encapsulated panel it creates UV fade-resistant panel capable of withstanding external conditions for more than 10 years.

Can I make minor changes to contact details, service times etc on a sign panel?

Sign panels (as opposed to digital print and encapsulated panels) have lettering applied in computer-cut vinyl. Whilst this is designed to be weather-proof and permanent, there is a technique for removing it, if you know how! This means that making minor amendments, such as a change of contact number or service times is easily accomplished. We can supply new lettering to match the original for you to apply on site without the need for the board to be returned to us.

What artwork do I need to provide for logos or graphic panels?

For detailed information on acceptable file formats for logos and guidance on generating suitable artwork for graphic panels, maps etc., please click here for our separate guide on the subject.

Are all doors lockable?

Yes, all doors are lockable and each AF30 or AF58 board is supplied with 2 keys. Each A-Multi board is supplied with 2 keys per glazed bay.

What about installation?

Installation is designed to be as straightforward as possible and should be well within the capabilities of anyone competent at DIY. All A-Multi aluminium boards comprise of a kit of 2 posts and 2 horizontal rails with sockets at each end which fit over the posts plus individual boards or panels for each bay. These will have been pre-assembled at the factory before being disassembled for delivery. We recommend that posts are concreted into the ground to a minimum depth of 600mm. Once the frame is assembled and erected, the boards and/or display panels are mounted to the frame

The majority of our customers either undertake installation themselves or arrange for it to be carried out by a local contractor as this generally proves to be the most cost-effective method.  We are however able to offer an installation service covering much of the UK if required. If this is of interest, please call us on 01280 701093 for details.

Can I get spare keys?

Yes, they are available from stock and can usually be posted out to you the same day.

5-year Guarantee:

Each A-Multi aluminium noticeboard comes with a 5-year guarantee on the quality of workmanship and materials used. We guarantee to the original purchaser that boards are free from defects in material and workmanship. “Defect” is defined as any imperfection which impairs the normal use of the board. This guarantee is expressly limited to the labour and material costs of repair within 5 years of the date of despatch and excludes the following:

1] Defects caused by the improper assembly, installation or disassembly.

2] Defects occurring after purchase as a result of lack of maintenance as prescribed in the relevant maintenance instructions, unauthorised product modification, intentional damage, misuse, abuse or negligence.

3] Cosmetic damage.

4] Labour costs incurred in returning the board to us.
