Standard aluminium snap frames are ideal for displaying posters and individual notices which will be subject to periodic change.
These frames feature a strong aluminium profile 25mm wide, a weather-resistant white powder-coated finish and a UV-stable poster cover sheet. Back panels are of white or grey plastic (depending upon size & style) All frames are supplied individually boxed and come complete with wall-plugs and screws.
Note on external use:
Although all our Standard snap frames are suitable for external use, for exposed sites, those where vandalism is a potential problem and particularly for the larger poster sizes, we recommend considering using the alternative Security snap frame which have a stronger clamping action and are virtually impossible to open without using the appropriate security tool.

Ordering
Standard White aluminium snap frames are generally available ex-stock. Orders may be placed directly online by completing details of the required specification, by phone on 01280 701093, by email to sales@greenbarnes.co.uk. If you need us to quote your order number in correspondence or on the invoice, please be sure to include this when ordering. All orders will be acknowledged on receipt by email or (where no email address is supplied) in writing.
Lead time
These frames are normally available ex-stock and, if ordered before 12:00 are despatched the same day on a 3-day courier service). In the unlikely event that the item(s) ordered are not in stock, we will call you to let you know when delivery can be made and whether or not you wish to proceed on that basis. Payment terms
Local Authorities, churches, schools and registered charities: 30 days from date of invoice.
All other non-account customers: Payment in full is required with order.

Delivery
Our preferred method of delivery will vary depending upon a number of factors including the weights of individual items in the consignment and the delivery address.
The majority of orders are now delivered by couriers using a specialist 2-man delivery team, as experience has shown this to be the safest and most reliable method. Although slightly more expensive than conventional alternatives, this guarantees that our boards, which can be heavy and difficult to handle) are treated with the necessary care at each step of their journey thus minimising the chances of loss or damage.
As soon as your order is completed, we will contact you to let you know that it is being collected by our courier and, shortly thereafter, they will contact you directly to make final arrangements for the delivery. This also has the advantage that you can normally fine-tune delivery details and thus avoid waiting in for prolonged periods.
All consignments will need to be checked and signed for upon receipt. In the unlikely event any item being damaged or missing, this should be recorded on the delivery note when signing for the goods and reported to us, preferably immediately and at the very latest, within 24 hours of delivery. We regret that we are unable to entertain any claims for damage or shortages that are notified to us outside this timescale.
Different arrangements may apply for small parcels, local deliveries or deliveries to remote areas and offshore islands, as follows:
- Where possible, small parcels (spare parts etc) are dispatched via Parcelforce 48 hr service.
- If the size of an individual order or the mileage involved warrant it, we may opt to use our dedicated, local courier.
- Deliveries falling outside the range of our usual 2-man service, i.e. to remote areas of the UK mainland and offshore islands, may require special arrangements. If you receive the message “Please contact us to discuss delivery methods/costs” when prompted to enter your postcode during the online buying process, please give us a call. This message doesn’t mean that we can’t deliver to your chosen address, just that we can’t automate the process of costing the delivery.
In all cases we endeavour to get the goods to you in the safest, most cost-effective and convenient way possible.
Are aluminium snap frames suitable for external use?
All the aluminium snap frames that we supply can be used outdoors because the materials are weather and UV resistant, however certain styles and sizes are more suitable than others. For our recommendations on the model of your choice, please see the advice given on the “Specifications” tab in the “Info” section for the relevant product.
How do I know that the poster cover won’t become opaque?
All our poster cover sheets are made from UV-stable material. If you’re thinking of buying cheaper elsewhere, ask the manufacturer if they can guarantee that their cover sheets won’t discolour within months!
